Loans available for the majority of Nationalities for either House
Purchase or re-financing for Home Improvement purposes only.
Type of Loan: Repayment Mortgage only
Amount of Loan: a minimum Purchase Price of £40,000;
Maximum 90% of the Valuation or Purchase Price (whichever is the
lower)in Maltese Lira or 80% in other Major Currencies
Proof of Income: required in all cases (can be made
up of Earned Income, Pension, Investment or Rental Income. Please
note however, it is not always the case that the Lender will take
all or part of these Incomes into account when determining the maximum
loan available). Non-Status loans are currently not available.
Term: Maximum 30 years OR age 65
Currency: Maltese Lira or other Major Currencies -
see Amount of Loan
Current Variable Interest Rate in Maltese Lira: from
5.25% - dependant on financial status - OR 2.00% above LIBOR in
other Major Currencies
Example: Repayment Mortgage of £50,000
over a period of 20 years at an interest rate of 5.25% in Maltese
Lira = £ 341.50 capital and interest per month = a total approx
amount payable over term of £ 83,960 including capital, interest,
arrangement and survey fees.
